My Story…
After more than a decade in the corporate world, navigating leadership roles across two continents within Fortune 500 companies, my professional path appeared to be flourishing. I spearheaded a vast sales and distribution operation, managed multi-million-dollar projects, and collaborated with senior executives to drive transformative changes in team dynamics and culture. Despite these achievements, my inner dialogue was fraught with self-doubt.
During my first six years in various leadership roles, I often grappled with feelings of inadequacy and impostor syndrome. The weight of responsibilities left me feeling overwhelmed and reactive, leading to burnout and a profound lack of enthusiasm for my work. This pivotal moment prompted a drastic change—I relocated to Canada in pursuit of a fresh start and enrolled in an MBA program to broaden my horizons.
It was during this period of exploration that I discovered coaching. Working closely with a professional coach, I gained invaluable insights into my emotional blind spots. I realized the critical role emotional intelligence plays in navigating challenging situations and understanding the emotions of others. This newfound awareness illuminated the root cause of my dissatisfaction in previous roles—it didn’t align with my life purpose of empowering others to unlock their potential.
Identifying my core values—continuous learning, empathy, and serving others—shed light on the persistent inner critic that had plagued me throughout my career. This realization empowered me to recognize and silence my self-sabotaging thoughts, fostering a deeper sense of self-acceptance and self-authority.
The transformative impact of coaching inspired me to pursue certification as a professional coach. I was determined to pay forward the profound benefits I had experienced, helping others overcome similar hurdles on their path to greatness.
